Artist Statement

Photography, whether on its own, paired with found objects, or mixed with other media, is my favorite way to tell stories. My art is a record of where I have sauntered and how much I care for this planet. My process and practice reflect this care for the environment. I employ up-cycled, crowd-sourced items more often than new ones. Most of the objects, frames, and supplies I use have had previous lives, as have my studio furnishings.

My artwork has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions and is in permanent collections in the United States and France. My photography has been published by the Smithsonian Institution and The Boston Globe.

Contemplations of nature and architecture. Before I turned 30, I lived on four continents, visited over 35 countries, and learned three languages. Now I stay put more often than I travel. These photographs capture it all.
